Chemical Compatibility and Cleaning Agents
In pharmaceutical and clinical labs, the cleaning program is often harder on a bench top than the bench chemistry. Before you pick a material, list what the surface will actually see:
- Every reagent and its working concentration
- Each disinfectant and sanitizer in your rotation, including sporicides and alcohols
- Whether exposure is a quick splash or standing contact
- Heat sources such as hot plates and heated baths
